I hope this all makes sense. I am wondering how feasible it would be to add a method for my members to be able to send an email message to someone else referring them to join my site? Obviously, I am talking about the PM system or being able to emai lsomeone from their profile. That would be since that person would already be a member-LOL!!

I thought if I made this easy to do my members would be more likely to notify someone else to register. How would that work as far as it being used wrongly as a SPAM tool? Would the email be generated from the board's email addy? (Don't want that addy to get reported for spamming!) While I do not feel my members would use it for spamming I have to wonder if it can be used by anyone visiting my site if this is a bad idea.

I have read about email forms and how the fields and TO: section is already filled in. I suppose those can only go to the one addy pre-filled. I know I am probably doing a poor job of detailing what I am looking for. Can anyone offer any help or tips on this?

Thank you very much!!

Search google for tell a friend. I think you will find what you are looking for.

Having an ipb board you can probably ad some code to your template and use a tell a friend service.
