I found some errors on a couple of pages of my board. Firstly in the Avatar settings of the user control panel, there is an error at the top of the page saying:

I noticed that this error is on the Avatar settings of this support board too, so I know it's not just mine.
The second error is in the Admin CP, at the top of the page is a similar one to the Avatar settings one saying:

These errors don't seem to affect the performance of the board as far as I can see, but I just thought I should inform you in case you didn't know.  |

Those errors will fix them selves once the domain resolves if they do not the avatar may need to be re uploaded. That is the problem with it taking 48 hours to switch over (files being uploaded on one server with the database on the other. All avatars uploaded before yesterday will be fine but between yesterday and when it resolves may cause problems.

Please help me!
For some reason I am unable to upload ANY avatars on my forum. I am pretty sure the settings are correct, but when I try to upload from my pc, I get a message saying, Sorry, if you are unsure how to use this function ... (or something like that).
When trying to upload an avatar from my pc I get the following message on the page:

Could you please tell me how to fix the problem as it is driving me crazy!

Hi Mr admin
Nope, it still doesn't work. The error messages are still showing up on the "My Controls" page where the avatar settings are.
This is the error message I get when I try uploading directly from my pc:
" Board Message
Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:
The upload failed. Please contact a member of staff to help rectify the problem "
Will it help if you DELETED the board so that I could start afresh??
Your help is appreciated. |

Now you have a setting wrong. I am assuming it is because you are logged in as an admin and you did not set to allow the admin group to upload.

Okay
I have now pre-registered a "member" on the forum and have logged in with that account, but still can't load an avatar. Keep getting the same message. Any other ideas? |
