MR ADMIN-
IS THERE GOING TO BE A WAY FOR THE ADMINISTRATOR TO APPROVE NEW MEMBERS PRIOR TO THEM JOINING LIKE THEY HAVE ON OTHER FORUM? THIS WOULD BE A VERY USEFUL TOOL FOR ALOT OF ADMINISTRATORS, AND ELIMINATE ALOT OF HEADACHES OH PLEASE SAY IT IS COMING IN THE VERY NEAR FUTURE! |

| You can do this by setting the "Enable account activation" to Admin, thus all new members must be verified by you. |

Unfortunately there is no way of stopping them completely it would seem. I have severeal people who have attempted to rejoin. Now I have no intention of activating them, but they still appear as members (even though they cannot access the board).
This is rather annoying as the only way to stop them is to delte them again (in which case they'll just attempt to rejoin AGAIN! )
Basically I want rid of all the zero posting wasters, but they appear on my member list even when inactive |

| If you don't want them to rejoin, you can ban them. But since they want to rejoin you can let them, and tell them taht tehyw ill get banned if all they do is lurk. |

| Also if you don't want a member around full stop, (due to hassle etc) you can bann their isp, that way they won't even be able to see the forum. |

Only useful if you know there IP.
I actually have a huge announcement that new members will be deleted immediately on my site....does it stop them trying...nope (that or they can't read ) |

Why wouldn't you want new members Cyber? And yep you only get their IP if they post, or through the admin panel when they are online. |
