I'm probably the only person not for it, but I'll live, and I've tried to make the best of it.
At least there is the possibilty of a few more mods in the future, which might shut up my members who keep asking for this, that and the other, lol.
I know you aren't taking requests but some suggestions that I can't see being annoying to any forum (Though I even know if they exist as mods, lol)
A quick reply option.
An option to allow members to turn off avatars and banners if they dont want to see them.
(I mention those two as I hear that asked for the most by member on my forum as well as a few others I inhabit) |

a quick question for you, i am assuming that your group utilizes multiple themes for your forum? now my questions is, would it be so hard for you to pick out a suitable theme (just one theme) for you to have? i only have 1 theme and i hear absolutely no gripes from any of my members and it cuts down on alot of problems as far as themes go, maybe try it and you just might like the new style mod that admin gave us....angel  |

Well oddly enough my forum has a theme, ie darkness and creepy, thus I chose the coolest that fitted the theme (RedGlass) however many found this too dark or drove their eye crazy after a while, thus I introduced allowing them to choose styles from a certain selection (that selection being those my site logo fitted perfectly). Thus they have choice/more options. Something that makes members happy I have found from the many forums I've been part of.
Now I will live with this change (I have no choice) but your solution isn't really apt. As if we all only had one style on our boards, how would the new styles mod help? The point of it is to allow people to add multiple themes and preview them.
My issue is I have to instal a logo for each theme and now my logo wont actually fit some themes, as there is a size limit enforced now on many.
As I said I'll live, and I've encouraged people to create their own logos for any theme they use all the time if they want. Still a few new mods would be nice as a balance. |
