| I'm pappy on the NSW4x4 forum. Hi all! I started my board here as a replacement for our regular board because someone got into the old board and was changing posts and I wasn't in control of the admin and could do nothing. I am the only admin on this board and the other members feel better about it now, soon the rest of the members will find there way to the new board. The only problem I have now is someone with an IP address that doesn't match our members IP addresses is getting into our members only section and is listed as guest. If the "guest" is MFBB staff then I don't have a problem with that, I understand they want to know what's going on, it's there web site. But if it's not a MFBB staff member how can I find out who this guest is? I've done the trace and it's always the same, not that I know what i'm doing. The IP address is always the same exept for the last group of numbers. Any one have any suggestions? |

Unless you don't have the settings correct your guest would have to be a pretty good hack to get into a forum that they are not allowed to view. It is possible that the forum will show a guest online even if the guest is gettin an error message. This guest could be a search engine bot also.
Please pm me more details and I will look into it. I need to know what area you are talkng about, the ip address, and any other info you have. _________________ Please use the search function. |

| It is the google bot. Don't worry no one can see anything but what you see when you are logged in. |
