I am trying to get much needed traffic to my site and have been reading about using meta tags. But, I do not see where exactly in the admin section I can do that.

Anyone know the answer?

I added "keywords" within the global page settings but will that really help me get more traffic?

My site:
http://www.myfreebulletinboard.com/f/?mforum=myfreestuff
and how I have the keywords currently displayed. I really don't like them there but thought that would help.

Also, on another matter. I notice at the lower left corner of my browser after I have loaded one of my pages, I see in the status bar "done" with a yellow triangle. Then whenever I move my cursor across the page it changes to read "done, but with errors on page"--any ideas what this refers to?

Thanks for any suggestions or help!

Smile
Thanks!

You can add/edit meta tags in the board wrapper. The triangle indicates a javascript error.

OK-but the board wrappers have alwas been disabled:

Board Wrappers have been disabled, please use HTML Templates, Style Sheets and Macros to change the layout and colours

So, is there another section I would be able to access the board wrappers through? I have been using:

skin & templates>
manage HTML beside "Invision Power Board Template Set">

Where would I find the ability to reach meta tags from this point?

Thanks for your help as usual!

Sorry, forgot they were disabled. Embarassed You could ad them to an html template but this is not technically correct because they would not be between the <head></head> tags.

so, there is no other way to use meta tags so they would actually work for the purpose of gaining traffic?

Anyone know if using them as suggested, even though not within the HEAD coding would be useful?

Also, is there a reason why the wrappers are disabled? Not trying to be smart about it just wondering!!

Thanks!

So, any place else to add meta tags or soemthing that would increase search engine listings etc.? Also, what ARE board wrappers as the previous poster asked?!

Finally, admin, is there a reason why the wrappers are disabled for us? Smile Just curious!
