avatar loading works for only the pre-installed avatars in the galleries(which is not enough already)
But it is not possible to load from an "external" source via "browse",problem remains. |

I guess there is a misunderstanding,
nothing has been loaded, just check the avatars under this topic, non of them have avatars, there is only a line instead of avatars, not only mine also other members.
impossible to load from external sources, auto sizing is on

| I guess this must be a known "bug" as I see it posted on the support forum as well. I can not load avatars either. |

admin, I don't know if the avatars are working for the other poster's site and not mine, but I still can not add avatars. I have the feature turned on in the ACP. When I go to add an avatar for myself, I only see "base gallery" as the choice for avatars under "pre-installed" avatars. I click that and it never shows any avatars.
I would appreciate you looking into this if you could. Curently, I am using an avatar that I have linked from elsewhere for my own avatar.
Thanks so much for your help!! |

BTW, if it means anything, I stopped by CultureClub's site and saw a one avatar. Maybe that one is also linked ot off-site? As far as CC's post I do not see the photo you posted above but just a small thin colored line where his/her avatar should be. Of course, being a guest, this may have to do with whether I can or can not see avatars there. But, I did see one--LOL!!
OK--file this post in the possible useless info dept! |

Excuse me admin But I do not see the avatars that you show..there is only one coloured thin line visible instead of avatar ,as Confusedabit pointed out. |

I am able to load from an external source. If what you mean is linking, though. I can link ot a gif that is on another site:
http://www.bestsmileys.com
... and the graphics display OK on my forums. I stil lwish I could see the avatars that came with the free ipb forums. |
