Okay, a few of my members are saying that they keep getting a 'popup' that tells them to download some chinese character thing. I'm guessing it's a language pack that it says they need? What's up with this?

It's no problem. You certainly have some odd ones.  I am not getting a pop up so I am a little confused. Can you tell me what page it happens on? Is it one page in particular? Are lots of members having this problem or just a couple?

| I'm not getting it either, so I'm not sure what pages they're getting it on. It's only a couple of members that are saying this, but that's a lot considering I have a small board. Do you know what it could be? Maybe something in the configuration? |

English is the only option in the control panel. It might be an extra character in the code somewhere?

That is exactly it, very strange. I suspect it is just one page that has an extra character or something but I don’t know.

I need more information. Can they tell you what page it is happening on. Just a thought when it happens does the google add look like it is in chinese?

Okay, apparently it appears on every page, and this is the message that comes up (and the computer locks up or freezes apparently) -
"To display language characters correctly you need to install the following language pack - Chinese Traditional. " |

Does the google add appear to be in chinese for these people? That is the only thing I can think of that would change depending on the user. It only takes one character for it to show up.
What ISP are these people using? I ask because google displays ads atleast somewhat based on the origin of your ip.

It is the google add. I will put a question into google. For now they can just download the language pack (it wont hurt anything). Then they wont get the popup.
